Welcome to DreamScores.net! My name is Tyler Monahan, and I have a passion for music. That said, I am proud to say that music has been a part of me for years, and I want nothing more than to share my talent and services with someone who needs them. I compose music for small ensembles and arrange mostly orchestral works, and I wish to apply what I can do with composition by scoring for films and video games. It didn’t take long until I decided to get into scoring, because I find it rewarding both for me and the director once a project is finished and sent out to be enjoyed by the public. I strive for excellence and getting good results, and when those objectives are achieved, I make a wonderful end product. A great musical score. I’ve been composing for nearly two years, and am still a student of music, however I have great potential and my work really shows it.
As a film composer, I want nothing more than to satisfy my clients with the best results. As of right now, I’m willing to work for experience. I take pride in what I do, and want to do the best I can to please you. I devote all of my free time to music when outside of my studies. With that in mind, I not only compose music in my off time, but perform in different ensembles, both during and after academics. Currently, I am first chair clarinet in Grand Blanc High School’s wind ensemble, and I am performing in a couple after school ensembles as well. I play four instruments in total (flute, Bb clarinet, Bb trumpet, and piano), and am self taught in everything involving music.
Here is an example audio of a score that I have written titled ‘Tea Time‘. This composition was inspired by Katawa Shoujo, and is arranged as a duet between piano and violin.
